I just ordered one after some research. I (unfortunately) have to stay under the 3" blade size, so this greatly influenced my decision. I am purchasing this knife to replace my well-worn (but still functional) CRKT Crawford/Casper. This knife will be my EDC both at work and at play. I would like everyones opinions/evaluations of this knife.

Thanks,

Eric

Having recently moved, I too have to stay under 3" and until my buddy really wanted mine, I carried my 905 everyday! The knife is a great little piece, and it will provide you YEARS of reliable EDC.

A few things though...

Either never play with the action, or buy a tube of epoxy. Get the piece to a good smooth spot and glue it there!

Go for STRAIGHT edge...BM will tune it up every year for ya,
but they will not EVER sharpen SERRATIONS!

Go for the black coating, regardless of what you think looks nice.
Seeing as you have already orderd/received yours, if it isnt black,
think about having it custom coated...believe me its worth it!

I loved mine, and would still carry it. I have two 910's one in
M2 and I love them too, just too large. I hope you will be as pleased
with your piece as I was with mine.

I have ordered the 910 with the black coating. I do require partial serrerations though (I know someone who can sharpen the serrerated part for me). Why shouldn't I play with the locking mechanism?? Prone to breakage?? Thanks for the reply.

Hope you got the M2 version. It really is worth it. I have a 910HS and that thing is amazing. Love it. I would expect the 905 to be like a mini-me for the 910 since it is a BM.

I purchased it from onestopknifeshop and they didn't offer the 905 in M2 config. Only the larger 910...It was a good price to boot!!
