I saw this knife available at Knifeworks, just wondering if anyone has one yet and what they think about it. It looks about the same size as my ZT 0560 that I sold last year and lighter in weight.

It's a cool knife, but I'd like to see more clips of the action/deployment. The few ShotShow videos I saw were with the BM Rep using a lot of wrist to snap the blade open.

I don't have one, but from the pics at KW, I can say I dislike the ricasso area. The finger choil leading to a small flat unsharpened portion then a sharpened notch. Seems like wasted space.

Hmmm yes noticed that as well, seems like something similar to a Strider which I had one and sold rather quickly. I haven't pulled the trigger on this one yet. I am also considering the 490 Amicus as well. Actually the Precinct flipper looks perfect, if only it was in a super Steel like the other two. I've got lots of 154cm knives from Emerson and BM.

It flips ok. Not a particularly good flipper but not a bad one. I don't need to put any wrist action into it for it lock open via the flipper. It lock while flipping upright, horizontal(both facing blade up and blade down, and upside down. There have been a few times it didn't go all the way and lock if i didn't use enough finger. The thumbstud is usable on it's own. It is very light and slim. Overall i am pretty happy with it. Hardcore flipper fiends may not find the flipping action to their liking but for me it is satisfactory. It doesn't deploy as smoothly as an axis lock but it's not bad at all. The detent isn't as stiff as my zt 0630 was but with the blade closed, i waved it and shook it pretty hard and couldn't get it to open or move at all.

Just a few initial thoughts on day 1.

Thanks for posting. Great comparison pic's! I have one on pre-order that I'm looking forward to. Very helpful in terms of what to expect. I'm glad to hear that the thumb stud is usable on it's own. That's my only grip with some flippers. I like the option of not having to use the flipper in all instances and being able to open the blade in a controlled manner using the thumb stud.

Look forward to any other opinions you may have as time goes on. Not sure when the one I have on order will ship or if they even have it yet but from what I'm seeing so far I'm glad I ordered it.

Thanks for the pictures, I've decided I will get one after all, the little notch doesn't annoy me too much.

The overall size is great. You get a good amount of blade in a trim package that doesn't feel weak. It's light and slim but still seems up to the task of what i was using the loco or adamas for. The other two are obviously built a bit more stout but you feel it in the pocket from thickness and/or weight. The 928 is what i always hoped an upscaled 940 would be if they beefed it up for a bit harder use, minus the bladeshape.

That's the main draw for me. I have the knives in you pic's so it gives excellent prospective, A good sized folder in a slim sleek package but with a nice thick blade that hold's it's own. The side by sides with the 275 & 808 really show that.

I was going off the spec's when I pre-ordered and it seems like it's going to be what I hoped for.

Thanks again for posting!

ETA: I just received the e-mail that my pre-order shipped! Very excited to get this one.!

The knife is well balanced, almost right at the index finger on a standard grip, which lets it handle really well. The upper choil lets you work the big blade with finesse on fine cutting tasks that may require a bit more precision. I'm really digging it so far. Barring an unforseen circumstance, it's probably going to replace my adamas as my larger everyday folder.

If they did the same knife, minus the flipper, but otherwise same specs in an axis lock; it would meet my idea of perfect for a daily carry folder. It's pretty nice as is though.

I can't get over that sharpening notch. I could handle it having one if it was at the back of the blade but it looks odd to me with it a quarter inch from the end of the blade. Like everything else about the knife but that darn notch just kills it for me.
