I have a BM Osborne 154CM. Somehow I got a small chip on the belly of the blade(its about the size of the diameter of a small paperclip). Can anyone tell me how I can fix this chip or should I just live with it. Thanks.

Hi 'Beltfed', Couple of choices:

You can have a local professional work out the chip on your 940, OR you can send it up to Benchmade, which is sometimes a better deal. All you do is wrap the knife and put the knife in a box along with $5 cash for return shipping. Don't send the knife in its original box, as that box will not be returned, your knife will returned in a grey "repair" box. Here's Benchmade's mailing address:

300 Beavercreek Road
Oregon City, OR 97045

If you call BM at: 800-800-7427 you can ask for customer service to ask how long the turnaround time is, typically it's around two weeks.

Hope that helps.

Personally, I just live with one or two such small chips until they are sharpened out in the course of things. Unless there are many of of the chips, anyway; in which case I'd reprofile the blade till they were removed. "Many" means enough to affect normal cutting.
