Greetings SuicideFO: The BM 940 in S30v does have a few attributes which may or may not be make it suitable for you. The size and blade shape, IMO,are just about ideal for for pocket carry. Light, thin and a long blade length for it's overall size. The scales do feel "chalky" but will smooth out in time. I liked it so much I bought a second 940 for backup. Both came from the factory with about a 50 degree edge. One was quite sharp the other was not. The blade pivot screw is very sensitive to adjustment and both mine required LockTite to hold the perfect balance between blade play and ease of opening. If you are inclined to re-profile blades with a Sharpmaker, get comfortable, get a few beers, pack a lunch and be prepared to spend several hours on the Benchmade S30V steel. An EdgePro cut the time by 80 percent. Mine take and hold a sharp working edge even after cutting many yards of cardboard. tThe liner jimping as Miro44 stated is useless. The knife is also entirely too much fun to play with. The Axis lock is smooth and fast. I have worn out the pocket edge on three pairs of jeans. The 940 would be my ideal EDC except for it's ease and speed in opening and closing. Where i live, it can too easily be judged a gravity knife by those so inclined. OldDude1
