  • Has anyone successfully taken the green off of the Benchmade 940 scales? A gentleman on one of my FB groups took them down to bare aluminum and a light ano dip. Looked really sharp. He said he used a Rust Stain Remover, but I tried the one he used and it didn't do a darn thing. Worked great on taking the purple off the backspacer, though. I've tried sanding, but that paint is tough and I don't want to get too aggressive and take off metal

I had to blast a few to Cerakote em. Did not even attempt to try anything else. Maybe blasting with walnut shells or glass?
