BM 960 Red box?

I own a BM 960 Red, and I have the blue box with the black pouch it came it. I take it you have another question.

I just bought a 960 red that was in a display case and the owner couldn't find the box. So, my other ? is, does anyone have a box and its contents. Same question, just typed again.

Not sure of your question so I will answer with a picture worth a thousand words. The blue box is the same blue box you get with every Benchmade, the only real difference between them is size and a label that identifies knife inside. The papers are the same with every Benchmade I have bought.

Did that answer the question?

The correct box to this knife would be the blue one, as it's from their "blue line". I think you may be better served to ask in the "knives wanted" forum in the blade exchange, if anyone would be willing to spare their "box and papers" for that knife. It's a great knife, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The axis lock is way cool, and very quick.

I clicked on a thread out of curiosity, and stepped into the twilight zone

:D

The knife is a BM 960. It has a RED handle.

BM has different types of knife that come with different colored boxes. The 960 comes with a BLUE box.

Yes, I love the knife, but I am very carful not to drop it or to scratch the handle. I carry it in my top pocket by it's self and when I am not doing any real work. It cuts smother then any knife I own because of the D2 thin blade, and the action of opening the knife if awesome. I can thumb flick it open easier then any of the Benchmade I own and the lockup is solid. You can use the knife for real work like cutting rope, leather, cardboard, paper, light wood carving, but the red does scratch off if not carful.

I am comparing this to the other Benchmade I own:

BM 530
BM 630
BM 710
BM 705
BM 3100

With my 710, 705 and 530 I can drop these knives on rocks and dirt and they will still look good because of no scratches standing out. But with the 3100, 630 and 960 Red you want to be much more careful of scratching them.

Wow, I didn't think I was being so cryptic with my question. I just wanted to acquire a new box for this knife from someone that didn't want theirs or wanted to sell one for a nominal price. My 960 doesn't have a box and I want one, I don't know how much clearer I could be. Sorry about all the confusion.

Aha, didn't know it's easaly scratched, i better move my keys then. So the red is just a thin layer...thought it was deeper somehow. Anyway, thanks for your reply. Damn, this wait is making me crazy lol i want my knife NOW! :)

Next time try posting in the trade/for sale forums and something like "I bought a knife without abox - does anyone have a box and papers that they would be willing to sell for a nominal price?

I don't think anyone knew you were looking to buy - I think folks thought you wanted them to check something in/on the papers or the box for you.
