How well does the D2 blade on the BM 960 Red hold up on cutting food like lemon, oranges, grapes, etc... does the acid or alkaline break it down? How much maintenance does the blade take, do I need to keep it oiled or just dry?

Don't have this particular BM model, but do have a 770 with their D2 blade. Holds up to cutting various acidic foods quite well - I rinse the blade and dry it right after use, though.

I don't use BM, but I have a Camillus Maxx in D2 in regular kitchen use. No problem with corrosion, and I wash it after use and dry it.
