BM 960 red vs silver, pics?

I'm currently trying to decide between the BM osborne 960 red and silver models.

I'm tempted by the red, as it's one of my favorite colors, but I'm still a tad skeptical about that much color on a knife, whereas silver is a much more typical knife color.

Does anybody have any pictures of one or the other or both that they could post? Most of the ones online are dealer pictures taken under ideal conditions, and just don't show much of the real color usually.

Also, does anybody else who's gone through this dilemma (or who just owns one of the knives) have anything to say?

What other knives do you own? I will talke a pic of red, silver and what you own if I have one so you can see.

Night time here, so no pics till the morning.

After looking at them shots,
Get both hehe.

Kidding aside, i would go for the Red one, i like a flaming handle.
Although, the silver would probably hide scratches easier then the red, as once the surface is marred, the AL underneath should be silverish and blend a bit with the factory silver coating.

I do have a couple Red handled knives, their anodizing is pretty decent.

Peace

Doh, i did forget the Blue one, so i guess you will need 3 knives then, dang.
Thier pretty rare though i take it, or rarer then the latter red or silver.

Temper—The only other folder I currently own is a 705 (-401), but I'm also familiar with the grip and 806d2.

WarRaven—If I had the money (and could find them), not only would I get the red and silver (and blue I guess), but all the cool limited editions as well, like the black with silver twill G10 model. I was initially a bit worried about the scratching, but I usually carry my knife alone in a front pocket, so I would hope by the time it picked up a significant number of scratches or marks on the handle I'd just consider them to be added character:P.

huugh—Great pics, and a nice review to go along with them, thanks:).

edamhcneb—Nice pic, and as a bonus I think I recognize all but a couple of the other knives in the picture, too. Is the one in the bottom right an ares (732)? That's the only one I have a good guess about but am not sure if I'm right.

I guess I'm leaning toward just grabbing the red model, and if I totally don't like it I can probably resell it for most of what I paid and get the silver instead.

If you dont like it, i'll buy it from you for a reasonable price, hows that?:D

I know, the temptations, only reason i said both and then all three on this knife was the style and materials used make it a real dressy light work knife, that'll stay sharp a fair time using moderately.

You know it already, sorry, it got me drooling for a dresser for me again.

So now you have a worker, the 705-401(Nice scales), and a dressy slicer, kool.

Yeah, If I had all three, I could color coordinate^^.

I like the 705-401 a lot. The scales are quite nice, the clip doesn't show wear like the black ones do, and the blade is a real great shape for me (I've never cared much for those blunter points, they makes it so much harder to open anything properly).

The 705-401 rocks. I woulda kept mine if they fit my hand the way I wanted to. I wish they did the 960 silver with the blue backspacer instead of the purple

Yes, it is a 732 Ares. I recently traded this one off. (big mistake).

When I saw one of them in person I was a little suprised how thin the blade was, sharp edge to no edge, not actual thickness of blade.

I have a red one. It's one of the prettiest knives that I own. Got to love the axis lock. Once you get the pivot right it is the sweetest opener in the box. This one needed a touch of oil in the pivot. I love this knife. Jim AKA Keyspike
