  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I can't seem to find the Benchmade 970 anywhere. Has this knife been discontinued because of the Stryker? I like the tanto style better than the Stryker. It has a more square tip compared to the Stryker.

Is the 970 the AFO Tanto? I have never heard of any other BM folders sporting that kind of blade aside from the Styker, AFO Tanto, and the Tanto bladed Bali-Song. You can always ake a plea to MJ&S, check eBAY, or search like all the online cutlery stores out there to see if someone has what you are looking for.

BM and Emerson had a little falling out, now Emerson makes the 870 exclusively. The 870 only came with a chisel grind however so its utility was somewhat limited.

I know what's going on now. The 970 is now the Emerson CQC7B. I'll go check it out.

Crap, how could I have neglected to remember the CQC7? I have one... Man, I need to get some sleep.
