BM 975SBT info needed....

hi - got a BM 975 SBT today, and am really impressd - had a Emerson CQC7, and was less than impressed, but the BM seems to be a better made knife imho, or my CQC7 was a lemon lol - but the fit/finish is better, and it certainly is a lot sharper, even though both are chisel edge - it is the sharpest chisel edge i have seen. i do have some questions though, and have ran a search w/no help on these questions.

1) if ya send it in to BM will they refinish, etc ? can they redo the BM and Emerson logos on the blade?

2) what were the approximate dates of manufacture for the 975?

3) # of 970's and 975's made, approximately?

4) is the 975 more like a CQC6 than CQC7, as far as dimensions, etc go??

Others may differ, but I agree.

My BM CQC7 seems to be of better quality than an Emerson.

My .02 worth....

I don't know about refinishing, but, BM will resharpen
"LifeSharp" the BM knife for free. (you pay the shipping)

i know that the thing is much sharper than an emerson, i thought it was me but about an hours work w/a fine norton stone and a porcelain finishing stone and the chisel edge is razor sharp - well not hair poppin sharp but sharper than i thought possible w/a chisel edge-i sharpenes on that emerson for what seemed like days, bought a GATCO, etc no luck just wouldnt sharpen up - heck i will use this knife, where i really never carried the emerson, just no utility value - anyway THIS BM verses MY OLD emerson its no challenge, BM wins hands down......
