Hello all I just got my old AFCK liner lock back from BM for repairs. The liner was replaced and now it feels like it sticks and is real hard to push in to release the blade from open position. I have to push so hard the liner bends until it gives and then there is a pop from the release of pressure.Has anyone else had this problem? should I send it back to BM. I contacted the repair dept. and they said to send it inand they will look at it, but I just got it back and did not know if it will wear down and loosen up? Should I keep tring to break it in or send it back. Thanks John

No harm in just trying to wear it in. Or maybe there is, I don't know. But BM's warranty should still be in effect should something horrible happen. Just don't take it appart.

Try Breaking it in. I had a couple of older Strykers that did this, but after break in they dont stick at all.

I agree, try breaking it in. My newest Bm did the same thing, took a while but it works fine now.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I will try to break it in, I have already opened and closed about 100 times now and still sticks but I will keep trying. Thanks again John

It seems Ti - steel seems to take a while to get comfortable.

Just curiouse, what broke in he first place?

Take a graphite pencil (or powdered graphite lube if you've got it) and coat the contact points.

Actually, from what I understand, that is why makers use ti for the liners; because they tend to 'bind' with steel.

I sent it to BM because the blade had had gotten loose and had a bit of play in it. They tightend it up great. They just replaced the liner on the side with the lock ( I figured something was wrong with the old liner since they replaced it). The new liner is closed easily when the blade is opened gently but the way I open it with with a little snap the liner sticks. I think it has loosened a little so far, but still sticks a bit. Thanks for all of the replies. John
