Did I get these right? Top is a variation of the 10" blade Battle Mistress and the one below is an 8" blade F SH?

Thanks.

Looks right to me. With some kind of G-10 handle slabs. Probably ganza blades or something from Blade.

Correct!!! If my memory has not failed I believe both of these to be .270" thick.

The FBM's can range from .250-.320" depending on it being a variant, FFBM, FBM-LE etc.
The FSH's can range from .250-.345" depending on regular FSH at .250, HHFSH at .270, HOGFSH at .320, and MOASH at .345"

ONLY thing is that this is a rough guide! Jerry has made many knives and when someone say a HHFSH is .270, it can range from +/- .005ish. Same goes for all of them in that nothing is set in stone. Also regarding the HHFSH blades there has been a run of them of late that are Full grind instead of Saber grind, ah I know let the confusion con't. Are they considered a HHFSH or a FSH-Variant, don't know myself. Hey that is what is interesting about all of this. It makes you want one of each variation!!!

Just go with the flow and get one of each...

Send them to me. I will undertake a complete and scientific analysis to make a proper identification. It should only take a few months.

The two knives you own are really special releases. They are great looking knives and have satin finish instead of being coated. They are also flat full grind. Really top notch. If you ever decide to sell them they would be gone in about ten seconds on the Busse Exchange here on BladeForums. Congratulation on a very nice set.

Those 2 used to reside at my place but they have since moved on to another HOGs home.

They are both .270 thick and IMO the perfect example of both models.

I got to quite looking at them before I have some major regrets.

That is some good looking G-10.

I'm tending to prefer micarta for a user, and was fortunate enough to score a satin FSH like the one above at Blade with handshaped black micarta.

HH is the heavy heart fusion steel heart, & the HOFSH or HOGFSH is the heavy ordnance grade fusion steel heart. Two different knives to my knowledge.

ok, wondering is there any way to tell the difference between a HHFSH and a FSH? I know either or both have come in different grinds so that's hard to tell, and the thickness is supposed to be .25 and .27 but of couse there are slight variations in the thickness of the blades from Busse, go is there anything else?

is the top knife in the pict a FSH or HH FSH? Does anyone know for sure?

They are the nicest matching pair of Busse's I have seen....I sympathise with Dobywon's predicament....and whoever has these has done very nicely:thumbup:
