Am I the only person who likes the original colors on this knife? Just wondering, there seem to be comments on this whenever the knife is mentioned. I'm thinking of adding this knife to my must-have list, and that color scheme is part of the reason why. Am I crazy?

I've seen a very few that look good. These, I think, were early production runs. The color on these looked pretty nice Later ones look purple, not red at all; I'm not sure if they didn't use a strong enough dye in later batches or what, but it looks purple. If they actually looked red, that would be MUCH better.
If you take a look at the Greens, even those look a little blueish.
MY ADVISE: Take a good look at that individual knife before you buy.
Disclaimer: I work for a printing company, and I'm very particular about colors, because I have to be.

I saw one at a gun show that I liked, and it was sort of maroonish-purple, and I can't find any decent store in my area with a selection, so usualy I buy on the net. I don't know. Maybe I'll wait till the next gun show :-)

I like the way the maroonish color shows up in photographs & scans better than the way it looks in real life. I do like the green on the 735 though - that's on my must have list.

I like any knives with colored G-10.

How many knives in Black G-10 can one man have?

I know the answer to that but my wife seems to think it's 1 or 2

I like the red and black handle also, and several times I've considered getting the green and black one too. Not a bad idea though. Switch the clip on one, and carry one on each side.

The colors are fine. But you might still be crazy.

Stop when you get to bone.

I dig the red/black combination. Like a lot
of people here I have the requisite pile of
black G10 or black T6 stuff around, and I can
say that Average People [tm] seem to react a
bit better to the coloured scales if and when
it comes out for a task.

The coloured G10 also shows off the great job
BM did on the handle contours. No flat slabs
here!

I chose the 730 in part because of the neat colors. I think I actually like the green and black of the 735 even better.

I didn't really like it, I went for the 750 that was in the shop as well.
