I want to get a BM Bailout with the green aluminum scales
I would like to change the color of the scales to black
1 Spray paint them black.
2 Buy the plastic/ rubber replacement for pliers handles at Home Depot
3 Try to anodize the scales a darker color
I am limited on tools and do not have a workshop.
Suggestions from greater minds than I ????
 
1. Spray paint will wear off and potentially get into your knife's action. You'll only want to paint the outside if anything.

2. Please don't plasti dip it. That will surely throw your fitment and action out of wack.

3. Aluminum anodizing is quite a process, and can't really be done well without a proper setup. Titanium anodizing is the one that's really easy (black is time consuming, though, and involves some WD-40 and a blowtorch).

If you're spending ~$215 on a knife, I'd consider getting some "bolt on" aftermarket scales if you're set on black.

Personally, I think the OD green looks cool.

If you really want to spray it, try AT YOUR OWN RISK, spray-on bedliner...
