BM Custom knife blade centering

I just got a full size crooked river from the Benchmade custom shop. Loving almost everything about it except the blade centering is pretty far off. Usually I can remedy this by tightening or loosening the pivot but even with the pivot almost all the way out of the knife it is favoring the left side and then the pivot tightened down to the point the blade wont even open it is still favoring the left side. I took the whole knife apart, even swapping the washers from left to right to see if there was a thickness problem and the blade still is nearly touching the left liner. Anyone else experience this with crooked rivers or benchmade custom knives? I have lots of factory Benchmade knives with almost perfect centering and even when they get off center, messing with the pivot tightness always seems to do something.

This is fantastic. I dont currently have a vise at my disposal but I will try the table technique first. The fullsize crooked river is a bit more robust than the 940 but I will see if that does anything for me. Thanks for the callout on the thread

Tried this technique to no avail. Kind of frustrating. Tightening the pivot only seems to move the blade further to the opposite side which is what I dont want even after applying pressure on the side that I want it to go to. Anyone else have any other tips or ideas? Would rather avoid sending it back to Bm but if i have to I will.
