Hey Hogs. I have a BM-E inbound this week but no sheath yet. I do plan on having a custom made but until then I need something for it for some upcomming trips. Any suggestions on what will fit? Blackhawk or Spec-ops. models??? Others??? Thanks. :)

Hi i just bought a BM-E and I am debating on a sheath as well any info provided would be helpful. Thanks for starting the thread.I also recently got a straight handled BM and wasnt sure which leather sheath would best ( i don't want to ship it off to get sized for a sheath do any of the makers not require this?).
Thanks

If your getting an E handle, it most likely comes whith the standard kydex cordura sheath with the little pocket on front. Ya might contact the fella to make sure its on there. :D

Aftermarket kydex/cordura is few and far between, specops only goes up to an 8" blade, not sure about the Blackhawk, Eagle used to make a lot of different sheaths but they are getting hard to find in any form. But for what Eagle charges I bet you'd get awfully close with Semper Paratus.

I've got a SHBM in shop, all I'd need is a few measurements as there is some variation, not sure about the rest of the sheath crew.

IMHO, leather is best. ;) but I am just a little bit biased. :D

I've got my kevlar on Dave! Fire Away!!!!:p

I thought that you said I could have gimmejr's BA-E? :D

Thanks for the reply what measurements do you need? I will send you a email that you provided. will leather leave any scuffs( maybe this isnt the right word ....marring?) on the black finish and how long might it take?
Thanks Cooper

Hmmmm whats going on here? I thought I felt a disturbance in the force. Does that make all 4 Ergos now?
The sheath that came with my BM-e does not fit all that well. Its a real bitch to get the button connected around the handle. Im not sure if its the original nylon one or not.

gimmejr: Nah! I only have 2 ergos at the moment. The BA-E and my inbound BM-E. I am really looking forward to trying out the BM-E at chopping and see how it compares with the likes of the Battle Rat.

J. Place: thanks for the offer. I will see how the company sheath fits when the BM-E arrives then go from there. Thanks for the link. Great work BTW.

Amazing isnt it? How ya get that nagging feeling in the pit of your belly when someone is talking about treasured INFI.

Hey Knifecoop, I'll be watching for your e-mail. :D and for the owners of older Busse's theres some areas where they vary a bit. Length from the tip to the micarta can vary as much as 1/4" and the width from spine to belly can vary up to (and I've seen more) 1/8". The straight handle Busse knives are a kydex benders nightmare.
