BM Fecas Gamer Sheath

I've heard different things about the Gamer's sheath. Does it have a definate snap to it?
I carry knives upside down on my belt. I do a lot of stuff in the woods, including running around at night, and I've had trouble with losing knives, including a Nimravus. Obviously, a lightweight knife like the gamer should be more secure, but the knife will get jarred a lot.
The only sheath I really trust with my good knife nowadays is one of Mr. Sastre’s pack sheaths.
Is it easy to adjust the sheath by melting and shaping it with a lighter for more of a snap?

Yes, it does. But not a particularly strong one. Read on...

Then you'll lose the Fecas, too.

Retension is done with two tiny tabs in the plastic sheath, that grab the very bottom of the guard. If mine is typical for the model, I'd be leery of carrying it horizontal, much less inverted. It would pop out waaaay to easily.

No, IMHO. Again, the only part it grips is the very tip of the guard, not much to work with.

I often carry mine inverted inside a jacket, and it's never dropped out. I've been carrying it something like two years now. That's not as rough as inverted on the outside - if it was bumping into branches and such, I'm not sure it would hold.

It's two slabs of molded plastic rivetted together - if you wanted to tighten it, I'd put another rivet in it, closer to the throat.

On the other hand - fer gawdsake, it's the factory sheath on an import knife that's all of $50 full MSRP. If you want a truly first rate sheath, expect to buy one aftermarket.

Benchmade needs to provide a better Kydex sheath than they currently offer on some knives. Oh well guess I get to help support Blade Tech's buisness.
