Just the other day, when looking at gun prices, a guy wondered aloud if one was worth the $700 price tag... adding that he could get a nice Benchmade gold class for that price.
I would go with mid tech or custom knife at that price. IMO Or I'd get a CZ Scorpion EVO short barrel rifle. Tough choice. Just depends if you want/need a cutting tool or a gun.
I understand you can find it for less than $500, but that's still pretty steep. It's worth it if you can afford it and truly want it, but for that kind of scratch, I'd be looking for a custom puukko or belduque made to my specifications (I really want a custom forged replica of the Joe Place sword with silver inlay in the blade!).
P.S., I see this is my 1,666th post. Well, that was the year of the Great London Fire and the end of the plague. Maybe an omen? Slashed doublets and hose went out of fashion that year, too, so maybe we'll see an end to low-rise jeans and tiny suits now?
