BM Griptilian in S30V

Wow! I can imagine now somebody making blades for different popular knives and selling them separately - no big deal to replace blades ourself. So we may have blade set out of different steels, damascus or even wootz for our favorite knife and switch them when needed!

Thanks, Vassili.

  ... this really isn't fair, I'm never gonna own all the knives I want in this lifetime :( ;)

How about the Pinnacle and TSEK in S30V? (Sorry to have turned this into a wish-list thread.)

Well, I wasn't GOING to buy a new folder. This is kinda exactly what I was looking for. A knife I would not be afraid to use - should the need arise.

Oops...sorry about the thread duplication. I did look, but didn't find one in progress.

Anyway, you bet I've pre-ordered one. The one extra detail I would wish for is a non-black handle. For the intended use, it's better to have something you can easily find if you drop it.

Makes me wish I had bought the D2 version from Cabelas when they were still available. S30V is nice, but I don't want to pay $104 for a Griptilian. (I just bought an M2 710 for $114).

Looks like a nice addition to any Benchmade collection though if you're willing to pay the extra $$$.

I'll bet you there are alot of people that would jump on a TSEK in S30V. (Right, Glockman? ;) )

I got the D2 Grip from Cabela's and I am really happy with it. And the price was only about $10 more than the 440C Grip. I'd like to see more S30V on benchmade knives.

Me too - but for about $10 more, not $40 more.

I called and asked Benchmade if they were going to have any plans on making the Grip in S30V & they said that they had NO plans of it.

I stated that it was foolish not to do it, but oh well...........

Still, $104 for a Griptilian?!!!!

NOT-A-CHANCE!

Especially when you can get a regular one for $50 or less on E-Bay.

Good idea, to high of a price :(

I think some of y'all may be missing the fact that it's not just a stock Griptilian with an S30V blade.

The blade design is entirely different (and more to my liking). Also, proceeds go to benefit the Equipped to Survive Foundation.

Damn right...But then, I really don't have a problem with the 440C that Benchmade used in my pair of 805 TSEKs.:D.

Besides, the use of s30v would raise the price too darn high.
