Trying to do a quick poll concerning which would be the prefered knife the BM Grip/Mini-Grip or the Kershaw Snap-on Ram with Red handles...and why so?

Despite being the knife enthusiast that I am, I have never purchased a plain-Jane BM Grip. I have to tell you, though, that the Ritter Grip (officially called the RSK Mk1) is one of my favorite knives for every day carry. It's a solid, functional design that performs.....if you haven't had any experience with Mr. Ritter's designs, he knows his stuff.

I've never handled a Kershaw RAM, but with the named Kershaw on the blade, I'm sure it wouldn't let you down.

Just wanted to share the RSK Mk1 with you, and put the idea in your head. It's a great blade.

Take care, be careful, and God bless.

KATN,

Wade

Hard choice. The Ram and griptillian are my two most carried... I tend to favor the ram a little more though. Its thinner and I don't feel like its to big for office use. Cant go wrong either way though in my opinion.

The RAM is more of a 'class act' than the Grip, however if you intend to really use a knife, the Grip is hard to beat.

i have both and i prefer the griptilian :)
the ram is fun though, its the fastest and easiest flipper to flip hands down.
i sat down at the office for about an hour just deploying it with my pinky... i was amazed! lol

I've owned several Griptilians and I don't have any left. Great knives but I can't stand the plastic handles. I like the RAM much better.

full sized griptilian, don't care for aluminum handles or the placement of the lock release on the RAM. I would get one if they made a production version of the RAM III (release on the handle spine) - or just moved the release up and forward, there's room on the locking plate under the scale. As it is, I much prefer the ergos or the axis lock. I'm also not huge on flippers, but the RAM is a good example of them.

I'm a RAM addict, I used it as a work knife for over a year, the knife can take a hard days work and ask for more, although I have since cleaned it up and it has sat unused for too long,,, that may have to change.

I have had the same RAM for two years and I have beat the snot out of it and it is still one of my top three favorite folders. I have owned two GRIPs and both of them were given away. I love some of BM's stuff, but not proud of the GRIP.

i've been carrying a grip for a few years now....either a mini or a fullsize...and i LOVE them. i've cut anything you cna think of with them...and they take the abuse well. My next knife, after my 0350 gets here, is going to be a ritter mini-grip with some custom scales on it...and it'll be my keeper for sure

Another vote for the RAM. I've owned both LG and SM Griptilians. They have been sold and I still have and use my RAM. I'm going to have to pick up a red RAM as well. A big point for me is that I prefer flippers.

+1 Grip.

I have both knives and the Grip (no matter what flavor steel) gets carried much more often than the RAM. The RAM isn't shappy, however, but I prefer the lock be elsewhere and the blade/ handle be larger. Just personal prefernece.

I have all these knives, the BM 551, BM 556, and the RAM,
I, personally, prefer the RAM to play with and EDC.

I don't have a Grip, but I do have quite a few other nice knives. I have to say that the RAM is probably my favorite knife, along with my new Manix 2.
