BM Griptilian

it's only abit thicker than the norm, but what I dn't like is the plasticy feel to it. I guess it the same feel the a spyderco has though, like the Endura. It's lite though!

Crazy Nicky :

The Benchmade Griptillian in it's
many form(s)( 550,551 & 555,556 mini's) are JUST RIGHT for the palm;) Fit like a glove. I recently
acquired the 556 PE for that very reason. Sure gives Spyderco or the other(s) of the genre a run for the $$$ ;)

AET ;)

The handle is somewhat thicker than for ex. SPYDERCO Delica or Endura ones but this allows to apply more cutting force if needed and makes the grip securer. Of course Griptilian is more noticeable in the pocket but the difference is not significant, it provides pretty good carry comfort. Delica and Endura are easier to carry, Griptilian is easier to cut with and inherently stronger.

No, it is not bulky or especially big in the pocket.

On several occasions I have carried mine into places where I shouldn't have because I forgot it was there.

The Griptilianses carry very well, and are rounded enough that you don't get jabbed by the corners if you bump something.

You have asked alot of questions about the Griptilians recently, I would recommend you get one off the internet and answer all of these questions for yourself. I doubt you will be disappointed with it, and if by chance you are it should be no problem to return it if you buy from a reputable dealer.

It’s almost twice as thick as SPYDERCO Delica, about 1,5 times thicker than Military.
However it’s just slightly (but really hardly noticeably!) thicker than SPYDERCO Lil’ Temperance or BENCHMADE 730 Ares.
Weight – it’s considerably heavier than Delica, lighter than Lil’ Temperance or BM Ares, far lighter than SPYDERCO Chinook.
Handle length – it has approximately the same length as Lil’ Temperance (but easier to carry), minimally shorter than BM Ares, significantly longer than Delica but far shorter than Endura or BM AFCK.

I carry mine for more than half year daily and didn’t experienced any situation when I could consider it as too big to carry with urban jeans-n-polo attire.

But it's a good tough knife.

The 551 was my EDC for months (and is still my beater) until I saved enough to by my 710 HS - really, really nice...

But I've used my 551 HARD and it's really done a good job.

Yes the scales are a little big, but VERY nice to hold.
