The clip angle seems proper, but the handle, valox, is a bit too slippery apparently. What can I do to improve retention?

First thing I'd try is to remove the clip, and give it a slight bend to increase tension on the handle. If that doesn't work, then slightly roughing up the surfaces with something, either through abrasion or friction tape would be the next step.

Some skateboard tape on the handle where the clip contacts .. that's if you don't mind the look.

and while you're at it say goodbye to your pockets.

Interestingly, my $25 dollar Kershaws stay put, I expect no less from an over $100+ Benchmade, and a 'brand label' at that!

Let us know how the clip bending goes, that's the route I take when I snag a clip.... and oddly I've only done that with Kershaw.... you might be my evil twin. :D

Brand labels are meaningless.... especially when it comes to HD.
