This doesn't seem to be a very popular folder on BF. I've been thinking about getting it for a couple of months, but been flip flopping. Contrary to the few opinions I've read on BF (don't see it mentioned much), I actually like the look of the blade. However, I question the blade shape's usefulness. The belly seems pretty far forward and a short upsweet after that. Wondering what others think of it's usefulness (aside from it's ugly or doesn't look like a knife). It's a good price at under $40. I'm deciding between this BM HK30 14300 and a Camillus Blaze, or possibly both.

Also, if anyone knows, how does the "thermoplastic" handle feel?

Here's a pic from NGK:

It looks fine to me. If you like it then get it. The blade shape looks useful except for piercing things.:)

I'd save up and get a nicer Benchmade. Red class Benchmades just aren't real Benchmades to me. Also, you'll get one that's made in America, which is a nice plus in addition to all the other good stuff.

Staying with the theme, a lot of people love this knife:

It has better steel, superior handle materials and a far superior lock. It cost about 110 dollars. That might seem like a lot, but save up to get the one you really want.

AM - the 14200 is larger than what I want and the 14210 isn't that appealing to me in terms of aesthetics (tho I did look at those). Also, I don't really want to spend over $100 or even near that for this purchase. I'm looking for a low cost folder at the moment. I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on the 14300 specifically. Thanks.

The Benchmade Red class are made foreign, but I thought the Red class H&Ks were made right here in the U.S.
