I've got old linerlock Benchmade and I'd like to know what BM it is.

I don't even remember exactly the year I bought it. It could have been something like '95 - on the other hand it could have been little bit earlier or later.

And I can't post a picture of it - don't have necessary rights.

But about the facts:
- as said, it's liner lock
- stainless steel liners
- black (plastic?) handle with graining
- handle has "Benchmade USA" text on it
- handle is "solid construction" (can't be taken apart without file, steel saw or something similar  ;) )
- closed length about 4,3"
- blade length about 3,25"
- blade is partially (about 1" from the end) serrated
- blade has false edge on it, about 1,75" long
- only one opening stud
- weights about 3 ounces
- stainless clip has "Made in USA" text
- clip is hed in place by pivot pin screw

Any info about very wellcome!

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a Benchmade 410.

I have one I've customized on my web page but you may be able to tell by comparing the blade shape.

Sounds like a drop point Panther. I think it is the BM410.

It's got a Zytel handle over twin 410 stainless liners, and a G2 stainless blade (Spyderco used to use G2 exclusively back in the day).

THANKS, Cpirtle and Professor!

Obviously this hasn't been very valueable knife.

I paid about 350 FIM (little bit over 50 USD) for it here in Finland.
(As we know, nowdays FIM is gone. R.I.P. ;) :))

So I think no harm done when I (years ago) sharpened the false edge a little bit. It was handier for opening evenlopes that way...

Does it look like this? Benchmade Panther now discontinued. Not exactly valuable but it's a solid knife.

Mostly, yes.

But the blade isn't just like that. It's more like in that Benchmade Cpirtle refers to.

But, thank you anyway! :)

That would be the one I'm talking about.. but mine looks like this now.

:)

Ok, one more time:

Take the blade from Cpirtle knife (I think it has nice handle, by the way) and handle from Zenghost knife.

Then we have a knife we're talking about.

So, I'm owner of a BM Panther (or 410).

Nice to know :)

Thank you, all of you!

Like my Grandaddy used to say...
