Hello folks. I have ordered a few knives lately and have had to send them back to dealers because of poor fit and finish. I plan to order directly but would like to tell a member of management what has been going on with previous purchases. Do any of you have a contact person at BM that you work with that will take my order and send me a knife that has been inspected properly without any defects? Please advise.

I would hold off on ordering directly, the price difference between a dealer and factory direct prices can be significant. And even there perfection out of the box may escape you. What I would suggest is call BKC at 800-800-7427 and ask for Customer Service. What you (and I...) have to remember is this is not a custom shop building these knives. Yes there's no excuse for sloppiness, but it happens to most of us. They get a lot of knives back for warranty service and someone up there knows that. QC hasn't been too bad this last bunch of months, but still...

Thank you for the information and you're time. I am a Chris reeve knife owner but like axis lock design of bm products. It's hard to not complain about finish flaws but still, 180.00 is still a nice price for a little steel and aluminum. I will hold off on ordering direct for now!

Have several products from BM never an issue with fit or finish with any of them. However it can and does happen, they best course of action is to always buy in person if you can and pick the one you are most happy with.
