BM MONO LOCK v. Reeve Sebenza

I know there is little comparison, but I was wondering how much the two pieces have in common?

I do not have the money at this time to buy the Sebenza, but I CAN get a MONO-LOCK. Should I give it a try? Is it worth it? Or should I hang out for a few months and get myself a Large Sebenza.

I have had other one-piece Reeve knives, and I really like them. I trust that quality isn't an issue, for all the pieces that come out of there are first rate.

Don't forget the CRKT S-2 and the soon-to-be-released Darrell Ralph PARAGEE !!! from Outdoor Edge (a collaboration based on the Apogee).

You could really get into this kind of knife even before you get the money for a Sebenza.

I carry both CRK Sebenzas and BM Monolocks. I use the BMs as selling aides to sell Sebenzas. Sebenzas outsell Monolocks 10 to 1 here, even at over 3 times the price. (I have the BMs marked down under a hundred dollars and they STILL don't move nearly as well as the Sebenzas.)

The BM is an ok knife but, when you compare the knockoff to the original, it's a no-brainer. Save your money for the real thing.

BTW, Esav is right about the S2. It is an excellent knife, (better than the BM).

Don't know about the Paragee but, if history is any teacher they will be dogs from a dealer's point of view.

For some reason, (maybe it's the location out here) None of the Outdoor Edge or the S2s are decent sellers. I've been trying to dump the 2 S2s I have for months and nobody wants them.

Not even going to try the Paragee. The last Ralph collaborations with OE were so bad (from a sales aspect) that I had to GIVE them away. Lesson learned.

Dennis is right. Pinnacles are gateways to Sebbies. I bought the BM and then a short week later I had a Sebbie. It was like I was posessed or something.
 
Strange... Same thing happen to me. About 7 days after I bough a pinnacle I had a Sebenza. It must be a conspiracy.
