I have finally decided to get this knife for my truck. Basic all around user, during the summer I am usually up in the mountains or down the shore every weekend, sometimes during the week. Any comments to make me get this knife sooner? Any comments to make me hold off?

I have a Nim. Cub in the M2 tool steel. I carried it for a long time as one of my EDC's. If you get the M2 then also get yourself a E-Zlap M to keep it sharp with. The M2 is good steel but is kind of hard to sharpen if you let it get too dull.
It carries nicely and I like the way it feels in my hand especially since I have small hands.
It's a nice knife and I don't think you will be unhappy with it.

FWIW,

I've got big hands, is that gonna be a problem?
I also have LARGE hands, and my 145 Nimravus Cub is no problem, as the butt of the handle doesn't dig in...However, the slightly larger 140 Nimravus might be worth a look, as its' handle is quite a bit longer.

Just ordered Nimravus Cub from NG. Looks like a good all around utility knife and was recently featured in Blade as an emergency edc that can field dress a Honda. Another good one is the Bud Nealy Pesh Kabz but mucho more $$.

Bud's brother's making knives now? :p

If you don't mind the black thing, Nimravus Cub is a sweet li'l knife, handled one 2 weeks ago, feels great in the hand & a great co. obviously.

Thanks for the correction WileyC. Am looking forward to the Nimravus Cub, I notice this knife seems to be listed under Military/police/tactical headings but seems like a good all around beater. I will keep it in the trunk of car. An easy to use size and excellent design.

According to the BM Website the Nimravus Cub is discontinued.

So grab one while you can, I've had one for about a year now and it's a great knife.

large hands it has great ergonomics - I wear size 18 rings, so this makes me want to go out and get a second one - I get them for $99 out the door....good price?

The handle is going to be a personal preference. I've got smallish, but wide hands, with short fingers. For me, the handle is a little smaller than I prefer. Mine lives in my camping kit and has been lightly used for food prep. 440C, no coating. I could be talked into parting with it pretty easily - my wife would be thrilled if I actually sold a knife for a change. Email me if you're interested.
