BM OD Green 707 in D2-Bought One, but Don't See it on BM Website?

Folks, picked up a BM 707 sequel in D2, with OD green scales for $134.99 at Sportsman's Warehouse. It replaced the 154CM version I gave to my brother. I called BM and they acknowledged it, but it is not on their website. Anyone else have one? Experiences. I'm a land-lubber in Fort Worth. Any special D2 care considerations?

Thanks,
Jeff.

It could be possible that it was a Sportsmans only special.

Exactly.

D2 is a near "stain-less" steel. I haven't used it myself, but from most of what I've read here, it's pretty resistant to rust. If your knife is coated with BT2, the edge is the only surface you need to be concerned with as far as rust is concerned.

I use Sentry Solutions Tuff Cloth myself to keep rust off my blades. I've even used that on my bead blasted BM 975S (bead blasted blades have been known to rust in a hearbeat) with no problems.

Benchmade makes a bunch of special versions of their standard knives, that aren't listed on the website. Mostly with different blade steels, or different colored handles. Cabelas, Aeromedix, and other companies have them made exclusively for their stores.

they don't usually advertise their sprint models.
I saw an OD Green handled mini-presidio w/ S30V, black coating and
serrations about a month ago... it lasted all of a couple of days
before it disappeared. before that was the D2 707 with wood inlays.
