BM Osborne Flaws

It would help if you mentioned the "flaws" you found.

If all else, Benchmade stands behind their products, therefore if you have a problem knife, drop by their site and email 'em of your concerns.

Have the 941 - EDC - 1 year - no issues at all

I recall seeing a customer's osborne (reverse tanto) and the grinds on the swedge was uneven. Only minutely, however. You had to really look at it.

Nope. I've bought, owned and sold or traded at least six 940s and 941s and each one was basically perfect. These BMs are very well regarded.

Just got an Osborne 960 in red w/ d2. Wondering if anyone found any manufacturing flaws.

Sometimes the G10 inserts can be a bit crappy looking due to the varying thickness and the nature of G10. Is it matt or a bit green looking in places?

Send it back if you are not happy with it, and ask the shop to check the next one before they send it. Its best to mark the flaw or point to it with a little Post-It and an arrow pointing to the problem.

One of the 960's (Red) I have has to go back for a 'pit' in the G10. It seems to me like the last batch I got in were not as good as previous ones.

I'm a little late but, I have a red 960 d2 and can't seem to get all the side to side play out. If I tighten the pivot enough to fix play, the action is very tight. I suppose if I used it more, it would "break in". Other than that, I like the knife. Should say that the play in the blade is not huge (though all my others 555,940,707,732(gave this one away), and Monocrome lock up perfectly) so I haven't done anything adout it.

I recently bought a BM Osborne 940 at a local store. It did have excessive side to side blade play. I took it back and exchanged it. The one I have now is perfect and has become my EDC.
