Just picked up a 943, black handle, clip point, plain edge. My opinions on this knife is a bit ironic.

It's a wonderful knife, yet i don't like it, yet i think it's the perfect EDC.

First of all the knife is quite nice looking, the slim handle fits well with the thin smooth clip point. However, the handle is a bit TOO slim, it's hard to get a good solid grip on it but i guess the grip is adequate. The handle finish is some kind of coating that is nice and grippy, it's like a very fine grit of sandpaper. however, i don't like the coating, it seems like it would get scratched easily, i mean the coating won't come off easily but it will scratch and leave a shiny mark. The clip point is very nice the point is excellent for piercing and the blade is long enought for everyday tasks. Im not very use to such a small thing blade, reminds me of a spike, however the slim profile knife disappears into your pocket. Its sits very nicely into your pocket. however, I feel that it's a bit hard to pull out quickly due to it's slim profile and the lack of a lanyard hole doesn't let me put a coil knot on it. So what i did was unscrew the screw on the end of the handle and put a coil knot in it, with the coil knot it was much easier to pull out. The axis lock is very smooth and the blade flips open with a flick. After getting a bit use to the knife is quite nice and the quality is top notch, i'd expect nothing less from a benchmade.
