I haven't heard anything recently about the Pinnacle. Those of you that have one (or more), what do you think about it? I ran the 'search' feature but didn't really find any relevant information. I am considering either a Pinnacle or an Axis. Any pros or cons to think about? Thanks.

Thanks stjames, I must have missed that thread when I was looking through the search results.

There is a new model pinnacle where the clip covers the scale but not the portion of the scale that moves and locks...James Mattis posted a picture of the difference at http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000541.html...if getting a pinnacle, would definitely go for the new version.

I went to the local knife store this weekend and handled both the Axis and the Pinnacle and I found that I prefer the Axis more. I thought the axis studs would protrude more than they did. Also, the blade style of the Pinnacle seems more suited (IMO) to a longer blade than what is currently produced.
