What do you clean anodized aluminum with?

Can/If I get my clip powder coated, will it make it more stiff?

The clip screw's paint (on the heads) are flaking off, (was like that when I bought it...) any suggestions?

I removed the clip to change it for lefty carry, I can see a lot of execess thread locker on the side it used to be on how can I remove it?

There is also marks where the clip contacted the handle and some slight discoloration, suggestions?

What should I clean the internals with to prep for militec (damn still never tried it...)?

Are clips tempered? If I get it powder coated, and it was tempered, will I loose it and adversly affect the "CLIPPY-ING POWER"?

Not much you can do about the coating coming off, it happnes with use. Even just carry will cause the coating to wear in places where it rubs in your pocket. Just live with it, and use the knife.

As for cleaning things up I would say first try some warm soapy water. If that doesn't work then move on to a solvent based cleaner. Militec works great, http://www.balisongcollector.com/militec1.html , has all the information you will need on how to use it to full advantage.

I never did like the anodized coating on my 705BW so off it went. Much prettier now and no worries about scuffing the finish now.

For a start, try cleaning the anodized aluminum with soap and water. I use alcohol pads for spot cleaning, too.
