BM Rant, a good survival knife?

I´ve got a BM Rant (440C) and I wonder if it´s a good survival knife? How does it stand up compared to Fallkniven, Gerber and other fixed survival blades? It´s quite big and very sharp out of the box. Will it hold up for survival tasks or do I need to upgrade??

Great slicer but the thinner edge is something to watch out for. I have the older Rant DP and use it as a skinner.

I'll second that. I have three of the D2 rants. One stays in the pocket of my beater barn coat I wear for daily outdoor around the house use. Excellent slicer, just don't try any heavy prying with it.
