In my search for a new edc I have found myself sidetracked by these two knives......neither one will become my new edc everyday, but I am considering picking up one or the other for my collection. The Skirmish costs more, but it may be worth it. Anyone have both, or has handled both and care to comment.
I've just about decided on a BM 707 for my new edc....these others are just for fun.

BENCHMADE 630 SKIRMISH

LOCK = Ti FRAME LOCK
BLADE TYPE = SPEAR POINT POINT WITH THUMB HOLE
BLADE MATERIAL = S30V
BLADE LENGTH = 4.3"
BLADE THICKNESS = 0.150"
BLADE FINISH = STONEWASHED
OAL = 9.7"
WEIGHT = 7.7oz

KERSHAW ZT0200
OAL: 5.25"
Blade Type: Recurve Spear Point
Blade Length: 4.25"
Blade Thickness: 0.156"
Blade Material: CPM 154CM
Blade Finish: Black Tungsten DLC

The Skirmish is a great knife. I've handled them a few times and the ZT 300 once, sort of a framelock ZT 200.

I would get the ZT 200 myself (and probably will). It's at least as tough as the Skirmish and seems like a more useful blade shape. I found the grip very comfortable.

Whichever you get, you won't be disappointed.

Blade Length: 4.25"
Blade Material: CPM 154CM

Blade length for both ZT200 and ZT300 on TAD Gear website is bit optimistic.

Real length
ZT200 - 4"
ZT300 - 3 3/4"

Steel is old good 154CM not new Powder Metallurgy CPM 154.

Thanks, Vassili.

Having owned a Skirmish and handled a 0200, I'd say go with the Skirmish. The 0200 is a nice knife, but it doesn't quite compare with the Skirmish. The Skirmish just seems smoother and more solid. The 0300, on the other hand, is amazingly nice, better than the Skirmish.

Sorry I can't give any better reasons than this, but these are my personal opinions.

Wow, some great info but conflicting opinions :)
I was looking at the zt 0200 as opposed to 0300 for a couple of reasons.
1. I really don't feel I need AO.
2. I am allergic to paying an extra hundred dollars to have AO.
3. I am not nuts about side "flippers" with AO.....I can just see that opening in my pocket, and I like to keep my knives scary sharp.

How about steel comparisons between the two?

Thanks.

I doubt steel comparisons are relevent. Both are very good stainless steels, and their performance depends on how well they are heat treated and sharpened. Both companies have a pretty good reputation for both. S30V is the latest, and 154CM requirements are well-known.
