Hi all,
Just received my BM TK-1 from Skylands Cutlery. Great service, great prices. Plus overnight delivery since I'm in NY.
Anyway, I bought this knife as a small, light, fixed blade for EDC. So far it's been great. Handle feels larger than it is, blade is small, but pleny useful for me.
The only thing I wasn't completely sold on was the sheath. As it is, it's pretty good, but the knife rattles around a bit. I may make a kydex sheath for it later.
I really didn't like wearing it as a neck knife because it was hard to access. So I ordered three mini tek loks from blade-tech.com. The eyelets in the sheath, line up perfectly, and offer vertical and horizontal carry.
As an aside, blade tech was great. I know some people have been having problems with them, but I forgot to order the hardware, and when I called to add them on I spoke with a real person who was very helpful. The order arrived just as I had requested.
The best part of this setup is that if you wear pants or shorts with no belt, you can still clip the tek lok on through the material of the clothes. This is great for running, since I can just clip the knife onto my running shorts. Stays put and I can't even tell it's there.
Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know. It's a good deal, and the tek lok really makes is versitle.
