Hey,
Does anybody have any experience with Benchmade's TSEK with Gin-1 steel? I saw some of these at knifeworks.com on the Closeouts page at an awesome price but don't know much about them. Any info will be appreciated, especially about BM's Gin-1 steel.
thanks

i have one,i really like it.

The TSEK has steel liners, i think that this is a better choice than the Ti for liners of this thickness since steel is stronger per volume. The lock up is fantastic, the only other liner lock this solid is the microtech LCC (the SERE is supposed to be pretty solid too) there is no flex in the blade when open like on an emerson.

GIN-1, it is being replaced by 440c in benchmade models and the 440-c is supposed to be better, i dont mind the 440-c it is very easy to sharpen takes a razor edge but quickly degrades to just a sharp edge, i havent seen any chipping, or any problems after a year of near everyday use.
