My benchmade 710 has a verry toothy recurved portion that i cant seem to fix with my sharpmaker so i was thinking of sending it to benchmade for warranty/life sharp service.
So my questions are
1) Does adjusting the pivot screw void the warranty?
2) How long does it generally take to get a knife back from Benchmade?
3) so I dont screw it up next time, what angle will the 710 come back at?

Adjusting the pivot screw doesn't void the warranty. Benchmade usually gets knives back within a week, although, they've been a little slower later. Not sure about the 710 angle.

No, 14 days give or take itz xmas you know the mail,15 degrees...:D

Perside I am guessing? The thing is I tried the 30degree inclusive sharpmaker slot and thats when I started getting the toothy edge. May be I just suck at sharpening recurves.

Thanks guys.

You might ask them to concentrate on 15 degrees or less. Most every Benchmade I've ever had came out of the box with anywhere between about 18 and 23 degrees. Now, I couldn;t actually measure each one, but I took a relatively accurate calculated guesstimate based on what was happening with the Sharpie marker and the Sharpmaker.

The last knife I sent to BM took almost 3 weeks to come back. I'm not gripping, they did well, but just wanted to let you know it can take some time. Christmas and end-of-year vacations might extend the time too, as someone already alluded to.
