  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I have gotten the idea from reading posts, that the 440C used on Benchmade Grips, is unusually good. Either its the source of the steel or a proprietary treatment of the steel or both. I am only guessing. I am wondering if the 440C used on the less expensive 12200 Pardue NRA is as good? They are so less expensive than the Grips, I am wondering if they contracted out for manufacture? Can anyone enlighten me?

To the best of my knowledge, the steel used in Benchmade's USA made knives is the same as that used in its Taiwanese knives.
