I got up early this morning, because I knew that there was an auction on bladeauction.com that involved a 239. The price when I went to bed last night was under 60 bucks. I figured if the price hadn't moved, I'd bid on it during the last hour.

When I got my machine started, the price was just over 100. Right now, with the timers all at zero, it's at $126.

Being the semi-smart consumer that I am, I ran over to Chuck's site to see what the going price has been lately. I believe we have a new record. The previous record was 75 bucks on 2/12/00 on Ebay.

Wow. And that's all I got to say about that.

$126 is about what you'd pay for an NIB BM 42. I had hoped that the availability of the 42 would calm the market a bit.

New bidder... New bidder... New bidder... PWO from Wisconsin. Interesting.

Balisongs -- because it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!

Since we are on the topic of balisongs at blade auction....

Every now and then these Linder/Cudeman butterflys show up. I really like the style and I prefer thin handled bali's. In the past, I had two of the china cheapie copies of this blade. They where cheaply made and I distroyed the handles from overuse...

If anyone knows, can I expect the same thing to happen if I get one of these German Bali's
