got my bm300sn yesterday. . .i was actually away from home so i picked it up today. . .great knife i must say. . . owning one other benchmade, a 710 ats34 from about 10 years ago, the axis lock was not foreign to me. . .

other than that, the build was excellent. . .fit and finish real nice, smooth deployment, blade centered. . .the thick g10 handles along with the thick liners feel how they look. . ."thick". . .but comfortable. . .i think the pocket clip could have been profiled a little shallower though (i feel it is raised a bit too high for my liking. . . i can feel the clip like its protruding into my palm. . .)

also stated by others on other threads, i wish the handle was just a tad bit longer like the southard. . .my pinkie is half on half off when gripping it. . .

the flipper felt slow at first, (or to me it did). . .but once you find the angle to the dangle you can flip it out pretty quick. . .thumb stud opening is lightning fast. . .so is disengaging the axis and flicking it out (and back in for that matter. . .)

after carrying my liner/frame locks i found my self trying to push a liner to close the knife lol. . .

overall great knife. . .this will for sure be in my edc rotation. . .

well, this was my first feeble attempt at a knife review. . .hope i did ok
heres a few snaps. . .thanks for the look. . .

Short, sweet, and to the point. Just the way it should be, nothing too fancy about that, good job

Does the axis bar bottom out in its channel in the liners? It looks like it might.

Beautiful pics btw

no it doesn't. . . if I understood your question correctly. . . there is about 3/16 of an inch below the axis bar to the apex of the blade chanel when closed. . . Thanks for the pic comments. . .

Thank you for posting this, I have been on the fence about picking this up because of its smaller blade. Do you like the production numbers on it?

yeah if it was the same size as my southard, (handle and blade) it'd be perfect. . . at work I do a little cutting. .. poly line, 1/4 and 3/8 inch rope, the occasional zip ties, wires bundled together with electrical tape. . . so I figured this would be a good size knife to have . . .

as for the production numbers, it's fine. . . this will be a user knife so if they wear off its ok. . . I almost want to buy another for collection purposes (along with another southard. . . ) but I got to slow down for a bit. . . starting to hear it from the missus lol. . .

Good post, Good tequila, you have good taste ...... major cool points in my book. My benchmade 300sn is on its way.

I know that BenchMade has access to good blade-steel, like M390, D2 and others. I've had BM's with 154cm and wasn't all that impressed.
The design is very nice; the blade should be ~3.5", and I do need to get all of my fingers on the handle.
