BM42 markings

Does everybody else's BM42 have a very tiny "42" underneath the butterfly logo? I've never noticed it before on any pictures, and I just wanted to find out if that is normal. There is nothing like that on my 35, so maybe its just a new thing.(?)

Also how are the logos and names put on the blades... are they etched? They don't appear to have any depth.

Nope, mine doesn't. All it has it Benchmade USA on one side and the Bali-Song Butterfly logo on the other. No 42 marking... Where'd you get yours? And is it a 42A or just a 42?

The 42 mark is a new thing Benchmade is doing. If you notice on all their new models they are putting the model number on them. It doesn't appear that they are including the S, BT, SBT, or other designations that follow the model number though, at least at this time.
