Well i got my 42 a few weeks ago, albeit in Texas, now i'm in the great "everything is illegal" state of Kalifornication. And i must say, the 42 is not as great as some has put it to be. True the design is great and workmanship is pretty good, although not first class. The washer do make a difference. I am manipulationg alot faster with the 42, but when it grinds down to it still a bit missing. Well i guess i', just a perfectionist, but just wondering if some other out there has been a bit let down like i have due to all the hype. But than again i can never be really satisfied. Maybe i will be when DR finally finish all those damned Geminis and get on working with my.

Some guy in California just ate a worm and boy is it yummy.

I was never disappointed with the 42. No knife is ever going to make everyone happy, that's pretty much impossible. I have flipped balisongs with no washers and then when I fixed the pins I put in some small washers and it made a HUGE difference, for me anyway. I hope that you find a bali that you really love, my dream bali would have SS handles and either a scimitar or a mariner blade.

Good luck!

If you are wishing for that dream bali, why don't you just have a custom maker do one for you? I know that some exist that make customs for around the price of a 42. I am going to be having one done as soon as I get some cash on hand and it'll take about 6 weeks +/- but I think it will be more than worth it. If you want, I'll post up some scans and the like with a review comparing it to my 42 when I get it done, but that will take a while.
