UPS delivered my new BM43 today:)
No surprises here. Smooth at the pivot pins and wonderful balance. 440C is at the top of my stainless list too.I'm still undecided in the blade shape. I would prefer a more gradual upsweep of the belly to the tip rather than the straight line of the edge and then the abrupt upsweep to the tip in the last 1" of blade. Only usage of the knife will confirm this design. I do have one caveat and that is the sides of the spine of the knife rubs against the insides of the safe handle. Also, is it just my imagination or is this blade heavier than the 42?

In Gollnick's review of the 43 and 47 he stated that the 42, 43, and the 47 all have the same weight.

Hey got mine to, finally.:D
I could almost swear that the hanldes are slightly thicker on the 43 than the 42. Now to the 47:D

balut,
I've handled four production 43's and two production 47's and they all had the rubbing you mentioned.

I purchased the knife from Northwest Cutlery for $139.28 shipped for a plain handle 43. It took 7 days to receive the item.

Mr. Gollnick states that they are 4.25oz. Same as the 42. I could swear that the blade feels heavier when in motion than the 42. 4.25 oz. can be distributed differently but with the same handles, the blades have to be the same weight. It just must be a "fignewton of my emancipation".:)
