i have a little question... what is up with benchmade and their model 43 with andonized handles? i've spoken with josh from knifezilla.com, and he said that he hadn't seen the bm43a model anywhere. they sell it, yes, but (from what i understand) they take the andon handles from a bm42a, and put it on the 43, cause benchmade haven't sent out any 'real' bm43a models...

anyone know anything about this?
 
Interesting. Nothing against Josh, but wouldn't swapping handles void Benchmade's warranty?

Even more curious. BM's website doen't list the Black handles as a version, yet I have 2. I've been actively on the look out for a 43A myself.

There was talk of the new anodized handles coming in a grey finish, instead of the bluish purple they are now. I still have not run across those grey ones either.
 
it's not that i have problems finding a dealer, i just reacted to what josh told me that bm don't seem to deliver bm43a... even benchmade.com has it for sale: http://www.benchmade.com/detail.asp?id=1078401869199&item=117

another thing i react to, is that i've never (not that i remember, at least) seen any pictures of bm43a... i mean, not with anodized handles! and what's up with that?
 
hey all i'm just new to the forum and relativly new to the balisong world. i just perchased a bm 43a with grey anodizing that looks like **** if you ask me it doesn't reflect at all and its just a flat grey thats painted on rather unevenly. that aside i love my new knife. i got it form bestknives.com
 
Excellent. An answer to both my inquiries. There are 43a's and they appear to be the new grey anodizing. Guess I'm starting my Nov with a call to bestknives.com.
