I think the topic says it all. Does anyone have a theory on the recent price spikes in balisongs? I've floated a couple of pet theories, but I'd love to hear from others.

Before I forget, the BM48 was posted on Amazon auctions. I bid on it myself before it went over the 200 dollar mark. But I had no idea...

it is probably a hard core collector - and a 48 is a bit rarer than a 45 eventhough it does look uglier (shh dont tell my bm 48 that

You're probably right. But that is one dedicated collector. Hopefully this is a temporary spike in the market and not a trend.
