just got my benchmade 530 in the mail. i love the size weight and blade design for every day carry. not a heavy duty knife but great for basic every day use. the scales are less than perfect though. i would love to see it in carbon fiber and maybe a d2 blade instead of 440c. but overall very pleased with the purchase.

I just got my hands on a 530 and I agree that it will make a great EDC. Two comparisons come to mind when I think of the 530: the first, are thin, lightweight Spydercos like the Delica or Calypso; the second would be the thinner axis lock BMs like the 940 and 921. Another point is that it is a nice looking knife even though it is FRN, it makes for a fiarly classy carry. When it comes to hard use, though, the Griptillians will be a better deal.
