Hi Guys !

I've just spoken to Ricardo Lala (Korth) and we decided to implement the IKBS system on my BM Skirmish.
I sent him the folder to kill those coloured dots on the titanium handle, and he came out with the idea. I'm very ansious to see the result.

I'm sure you all know the IKBS system, but for those who don't here's the link: http://www.bali-taymo.com/ikbs.asp

I'll get the IKBS SKIRMISH by this weekend. As soon as I put my hands on it I'll post some pics ! ;)

Let's wait !

That sounds awesome. Any chance you could send me the price quote on that? My e-mail is slamhound at gmail dot com, thanks.

OOOHH, I have seen some of the IKBS folders and own a few of the IKBS balisongs and they are extremely smooth, cant wait to hear about this when completed.

IT'S HERE !!!!

I've just receive it:

Smooth like silk. A joy to flick ! You guys who have already handled some folder or bali with the IKBS system know what I am talking about. ;)

Now that Lala killed the colorful dots on the handle, the knife became more beautiful than it already was. I'm very satisfied with his job

Here are the pics I promissed:

So this just smooths up the action?
Looks to me like it also makes the opening tension less dependant ont he pivot tension. Sort of like what Chris Reeve does with his bushing, it controls the friction of the handles (and washers) against the blade tang.

(Well, actually, it replaces the usual flat-on-flat friction with a rolling friction; but the rolling friction won't increase as dramatically when you tighten the pivot screw.)

I see. I was always impressed with my minigrip, how if I held the lock open, the blade would swing freely. Unless I tightened it up a lot.

You know where and who supplies those mini bearings?
You can ask Charles Marlowe. He has permission from Korth to use the IKBS system on his knives.
