I thought I saw someone say BM might be making the AFCK in S30V? Does anyone know more?

I talked to BM about a month ago and they said no variants of the AFCK were planned.

I asked them to add my name to the list of people requesting one :)

I think it was a wish posting Wade. We'd all love to see it, but as mentioned. BM has siad no plans are in the works for one. Distribs, dealers? You reading this? Special run? :D

To be honest I'd buy a BM AFCK 806 PE if had an option for no Black-T coating.

Me too. I like the knife, but HATE BT2 :barf: :barf: :barf:

A satin finish 806 would be on the top of my list.

Why not just get an AFCK and rub out the finish?

I've been thinking about getting a second and just making it a project knife, put a new finish on the blade and maybe some nice scales... ebrace the tinkerer inside you :D

I think most people would rather not do this. To properly remove the coating you would have to disassemble the knife. There are lots of people that would have no problem with this, but there are many that would prefer to get a nicely satin finished knife that was made that way by the manufacturer.

In the past I cantacted BM about the possibility of them doing a satin finished Axis Lock 806 and was told that tyhey had no plans to do so. They did however say that if there were enough requests that they just might do a special run. If this is something that you want then you should contact BM to let them know.

Hmmm, that's a good idea.

I don't see a problem with modifying a knife you like if you are so inclined..

One problem that will arise is that if you disassemble your BM knife to remove the coating, you void the warranty. As long as that is not a problem, then go for it.
