BM880 - Keep it NIB or use it?

I have a first production run (62/100) 880BT.
Does this knife have any future potential collector
value given that Elishewitz has left BM,
and the knife has been discontinued (or so I was
told - I still see it listed on the BM website)?

I suspect I should go ahead and use the
knife as planned, but wanted to ask the forum
experts first.

Second question: Does 62/1000 mean the 62nd 880BT out
of the first 1000 880BT's, or 62nd out of the first 1000
880's of all variations (plain, SBT, etc)?

Thanks.

Joe:

I'd go ahead and use the knife. I personally don't see production knives, numbered or not, going up in value.

As far as I know, the numbering applies to all variations of the particular knife model.

The 880 is a nice knife. Use it in good health.

Joe, I agree. Use the knife. If it does increase appreciably in value, it will be sometime before it is realized. You can always check on the Levine Forum.

Thanks guys, that's what I wanted to hear.
I've never been a collector of anything and
don't want to start now :)
