Thinking about doing the BM thing, narrowed it down to s30v blades of the mini rukus, and the 943, also found a guy with the special ed. 806 s30v with carbon scales, but he wants 325 for it, any way whatcha think?

I did some reading and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the s30v 806, It has everything I'm looking for, but damn its pricey. I don't know about the handle the rukus. I think the 943 might have too skinny of a blade. anyway I'm planning on the knife to be used constantly, carried everywhere, and used hard. let me know whatcha think

I have five 94x's and love them. After Hurricane Ivan tore through my neighborhood I used my 943SBT exclusively and hard. It handled everything that was thrown at it and I never worry about using the 94x's as much as necessary. They seem almost "gentlemanly" in appearance but don't let that fool you into thinking they aren't made for hard use. Mine was an older 154CM and the S30V would be nice upgrade. I have the 806 also and it is a great knife but it carries alot bigger than the 94x. Can't go wrong with either, they are both classics in the Benchmade lineup.

Well the 806 is a great design and S30V is great steel but to have it with Carbon fiber well that would be the icing on the cake. But that is truly a question you have to answer your self.

I didn't like the finger grooves on the grip of the 615, but have the 806-701 and 943.

The AFCK (yes it is worth $325  ) is a large knife - much bigger than the 943. For day to day use I'd go with the 943.

In fact these two knives, the 943 and 806-701 were the two knives that propelled me into selling my Small and Large Classic Micarta Sebenzas.

The Mini-Rukus has been my edc since last fall and I couldn't be happier. the handle is very ergonomic though it looks awkward at first, the S30V takes and holds an edge as good or better than high carbon -- and I absolutely love the Axis lock.

i started with a sog flash II but didnt like the combo blade so i traded it for a BM grip. but something about it didnt feel right. i took it back and traded it for a 615, and have been happy every since. it is heavy and bulky but very well built. and the finger grooves are very comfortable to me.

I wouldnt bother getting the special edition bm. Not worth the cost imo. Better off getting a sebenza or such at that price. Just my 2 cents

I got the 806-701 AFCK and a 943 Osborne for the same price as the Sebenza.

Which knife is overpriced?

Just my 1.0067451927917044196113963555824 (at today's exchange rate) pence

got the 806-701 and the mini rukus, ended up selling the rukus... hated the clip, and the handle was awkward... love the AFCK, wish all benchmade came in s30v... i'd love an s30v 710
